2022 BUSINESS LICENSE DEADLINE

REMINDER REGARDING DEADLINE FOR

APPLICATION/RENEWAL OF BUSINESS LICENSE

         The Treasurer has mailed via U. S. Postal Service, first-class mail, the annual business license application.  The application is required for all new and existing businesses in the Town pursuant to the Town of Abingdon Code Section 18-28.  License Required.

          THE APPLICATION IS DUE ON MARCH 1, 2022 BY 5:00 pm.   Any application filed after March 1, 2022, will be subject to penalty and interest.  Please mail the application to Treasurer, P O Box 789, Abingdon, Virginia  24212 or deliver in person to the Town Hall, 133 West Main Street, Abingdon, Virginia.

          If you own a business in the Town of Abingdon and have not received your business license application, please call (276) 525-1464 to request an application.

 

 

Tourism Strategic Plan Informational Sessions

The Town of Abingdon, VA has hired Dr. Vince Magnini from the Institute for Service Research as a tourism consultant to develop a five (5) year strategic plan. Dr. Magnini will be holding three informational sessions to develop new strategies to attract visitors and increase tourism opportunities in Abingdon. If you are interested in helping influence the direction of your local tourism program, attend one of the sessions to let your voice be heard. All sessions are open to the public.
