Veterans Advisory Board
Veterans Advisory Board is seeking two members. The Town will consider candidates who can assist with the development of programs and events to honor and recognize the service of area Veterans.   Preference will be given to Town residents. The Board meets the 3^rd Thursday of each month at 5:15 pm.  Members may not miss more than three (3) meetings during a 12-month period of service. Board of Zoning Appeals
Board of Zoning Appeals is seeking a member. The board meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm. Interested persons are subject to completion of a statement of Disclosure of Real Estate Holdings and may not miss more than three (3) meetings during a 12-month period of service. Economic Development Authority:
Economic Development Authority is accepting applications for a vacancy on the
Authority. It is preferred that the applicant be a resident of the Town. Appointees are
subject to completion of a Statement of Economic Interest form and take an oath of office
prescribed by Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, Section 49-1.
Interested persons may not miss more than three consecutive regular meetings, or three out of five regular
meetings, during a 12-month period of service. Interested persons should complete the Board and Commission application found here, and return the application by August 12, 2024 to Kim Kingsley, kkingsley@abingdonva.gov.
