Real Property Tax Payment Deadline
and Deferral of Penalties and Interest
Real property taxes for the current tax year are due and payable on May 20, 2025.
To provide additional flexibility to taxpayers, the Abingdon Town Council has approved a
temporary deferral of penalties and interest. Penalties and interest will not be applied to unpaid
real property taxes through June 10, 2025.
Property owners are encouraged to submit payment by the May 20, 2025 deadline to ensure
timely processing. After June 10, 2025, any outstanding balances will be subject to penalties and
interest in accordance with applicable law.

Bristol MPO Local Road Safety Plan Survey
The Bristol Metropolitan Planning Organization is starting the development of the Bristol Local Road Safety Plan (LRSP). Funded by the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Grant Program, the Bristol LRSP will identify projects and strategies to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries. The LRSP will seek to improve safety for all roadway users
