Non-Departmental Budget Requests

The Town of Abingdon, Virginia has mailed via U. S. Postal Service, first class mail, the annual non-departmental Budget Request for Contributions/Appropriations 2018/2019. Organizations planning to request appropriations from the Town Council will need to complete said request.

THE REQUESTS ARE DUE ON MARCH 1, 2018 BY 6:00 pm. Any request submitted via email to town staff and/or received after March 1, 2018 will not be accepted. Requests can be mailed to Abingdon Town Hall, c/o Chuck Banner, Treasurer/Director of Finance, P O Box 789, Abingdon, Virginia 24212 or delivered to the Abingdon Town Hall, 133 West Main Street, Abingdon, Virginia 24210.

If you are a non-departmental organization in the Town of Abingdon and did not receive your application, please contact the Finance Department, 276.628.3167, immediately to inquire regarding a request.

Notice of Vacancy – EDA

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY is accepting applications for a vacancy on the board.

Interested persons should complete the Board and Commission application found here and return the application to Kim Kingsley, kkingsley@abingdon-va.gov by 5:00 pm on Friday, January 26, 2018.  

Council will consider the applications at their regular February, 2018 Council meeting.

Interested persons may be subject to completion of a state of economic interest form.
